While there is no cure for diabetes, it can be controlled with proper management skills. Ingalls Diabetes Management Center offers a three-session class to help you learn to manage your diabetes so you can lead an active and productive life. This program is designed to help newly-diagnosed diabetics, as well as individuals who are having difficulty controlling their diabetes. During class, you will receive basic dietary information, along with instructions on how to use a meal plan. We will also tell you about insulin and oral medication treatment options, glucose testing and how to prevent or delay long-term complications.

The program will address many aspects of quitting smoking such as dealing with roadblocks, Nicotine replacement, prescription medications for cessation, weight gain, stress management and alternatives to smoking.
