Measuring success
Functional improvement is measured from the time a patient arrives until his or her discharge. Our patients make excellent progress marked by significant improvement in activities such as walking, bathing and using the bathroom. With these gains for independence, 58% of our patients at the Ingalls Center for Rehabilitative Medicine return home.

Once a patient completes inpatient therapy, continued therapy or nursing care may be necessary. The interdisciplinary team will recommend the most appropriate setting for continued therapy. If a patient is homebound, home care is available. For those patients who are appropriate for outpatient therapy, services are provided at the following locations:
Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Harvey
Ingalls Center for Outpatient Rehab (ICOR), Calumet City
Ingalls Family Care Center, Flossmoor
Ingalls Family Care Center, Tinley Park
