Orthopedics is a specialty devoted to the diagnosis, treatment,

Areas of treatment
Board-certified orthopedic and podiatric surgeons diagnose

trauma and fractures, sports-related injuries, back and
neck pain, joint degeneration and metabolic bone disease.
Subspecialty areas include adult reconstruction, spine,
foot, hand, shoulder, elbow, oncology, pediatric and impairment
evaluation.
Alternative treatment options
We currently offer these options for our patients:
• INFUSE™ Bone Graft/LT-CAGE™ Lumbar Tapered Fusion
-
Ingalls was the first in the area to adopt
this recently
approved device to treat degenerative
disc disease
• Recombinant human bone morphogenic protein with
an
investigational spinal fusion cage - enhances
bone
regeneration for patients with degenerative
disc disease
• Anterior fusion cages - titanium cages used for
the purpose
of spinal fusion - a "welding" process
by which two or more
of the small bones (vertebrae) that make
up the spinal
column are fused together
• Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair - removes scarred
tissue to
open up space for the rotator cuff which
is on the shoulder
• Kyphoplasty - a procedure to treat compression fractures
• Minimally invasive knee surgery for younger patients
Your diagnosis
Orthopedic surgeons use a variety of tests to help identify
a specific injury or condition. This helps them to plan
an appropriate treatment. We offer the latest diagnostics
such as: blood tests, bone scans, CT scans, MRIs, flexibility
tests, laboratory studies, muscle tests, physical exams,
X-rays, range-of-motion tests, stress tests and imaging.
