Ingalls Urgent Aid Centers
Lower-level emergency care
As hospital emergency rooms across the country become more crowded, it's no wonder patients often face very long waiting times. Hospital emergency departments
are not always the most appropriate level of care for patients with injuries or illnesses that could be managed in a less intense environment. Ingalls 24-Hour
Urgent Aid Centers are designed to address the need for fast, efficient, quality lower-level emergency care in the South Suburbs — seven days a week. And
with convenient locations in Tinley Park, Calumet City and Flossmoor, access to care is never more than a short drive from home or work.
Ingalls 24-hour Urgent Aid offers emergency medical care by registered nurses and physicians without an appointment. Urgent Aid is appropriate emergency care
for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Urgent Aid is not intended to replace your primary care doctor, but to provide patients with alternatives for
emergencies when doctor's offices are closed, and when a hospital's main emergency department is not needed.
Ingalls Urgent Aid Centers offer timely treatment of life's more minor illnesses and injuries — around the clock and everyday of the year.
As an extension of our Emergency Department, Ingalls 24-Hour Urgent Aid Centers are staffed by qualified professionals who specialize in treating non
life-threatening illnesses and injuries in patients of all ages, from newborns through older adults.
Each of our centers is equipped with on-site laboratories, X-ray, CT and MRI capabilities, assuring prompt diagnosis, evaluation and treatment. Our Tinley
Park and Flossmoor locations also offer convenient on-site pharmacies for any prescriptions that you may need as part of your treatment.
You can also take comfort in knowing that should your condition actually be more serious than you anticipated, the staff of our 24-hour centers are trained
in advanced life support and can stabilize patients. With dedicated transfer systems already in place, we quickly get patients to facilities where they can
receive care appropriate for their condition.
Physicians and staff
Ingalls Urgent Aid Centers are staffed by doctors, registered nurses and other health care professionals who are specially trained in emergency medical care.
This assures that you and your family will always be cared for by knowledgeable and experienced professionals.
Our staff is trained to treat every member of the family, from newborns through older adults. And families with children will be comforted to know that our
medical experts are specially trained to address a number of injuries and illnesses commonly seen in children, including: respiratory illnesses; diarrhea and vomiting;
and injuries such as cuts, scrapes, sprains, and broken bones.
The physicians are independent medical practitioners who practice medicine at Ingalls Urgent Aid Centers. You will receive a separate bill from the physicians
and from Ingalls.
