Employee Benefits
At Ingalls Health System, we're happy to provide a competitive salary and benefits package.
What's different about Ingalls' benefit program?
In a word, choices. We offer choices to meet each employee's
individual needs.
Full time vs. part time
If an active employee is regularly scheduled to work 40
hours or more every two weeks, they are eligible for a
benefits package.
Full-time employees enjoy a full benefits package that includes
lower health insurance premiums and holiday pay.
Part-time benefits are pro-rated based upon hours worked.
Part-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, life
and disability insurance, spending accounts, retirement
benefits (based on hours worked), child care, paid time off, tuition reimbursement and the employee assistance program.
Available benefits
Medical and prescription drugs - We offer plans designed
to fit a variety of needs. Choose from single or family coverage
and HMO or PPO. All plans offer vision and prescription drug benefits.
Dental - Under the CIGNA dental plan, employees can visit the
dentist of their choice. All preventative services are covered 100%.
For other services, coverage increases each year. There is a $50 deductible and a $1,000 per year maximum benefit.
Life insurance - We offer group term life insurance, providing
coverage in the amount of one times your annual base pay at no
cost. Supplemental coverage may be purchased for up to three
times annual pay.
Long-term disability - Our plan pays a percentage of your
monthly earnings after a 60 day elimination period if you are disabled. Employees pay a small premium for this benefit.
Spending accounts - Ingalls offers two types of tax-free spending accounts. A healthcare account is used to reimburse eligible out-of-pocket expenses. A dependent account is used to cover expenses incurred for child or elder care.
Retirement program with employer match - Under our plan,
Ingalls provides a basic contribution. In addition, when an employee contributes 1.2% of his/her annual income, we will match 50% of the contribution. Any employee, 21 and older, who has worked at least 1,000 hours per year for two years is eligible. After two years, employees are 100% vested.
Paid Time Off - Employees accrue paid time off benefits based on position and years of service. Click here to view or download a PDF with more details about our Paid Time Off Plan.
Tuition reimbursement - Full-time employees are eligible for $1,500/year for undergraduate coursework and $2,000/year for graduate coursework. Part-time employees receive reimbursement on a pro-rated basis. Employee assistance - Employee assistance programs are available to employees upon hire.
